Hi Everyone,
We had a wonderful time with all of our 9 kids this past week end. We are so proud of all of you. Thank you for all your support for Susan. Just wanted to give an update on the Chemo. Well Susan had a reaction. She got hot, her blood pressure went way up, her face turned red and she had trouble breathing. The nurse gave her steroids, benedril and not sure of anything else. She quickly returned to normal with a good scare. She finished her treatment and then I took her over to the plastic surgeons and had an appointment.
On the way home from Idaho we picked up a box of peaches. Incredible tasting. We spent part of yesterday making freezer jam and eating them with ice cream. We had some left over rasberries from the yard and so we made rasberry/peach freezer jam. Tastes good.
To finish the day we finally had to cut moms hair as it was getting everywhere and was uncomfortable for her. It was pretty scary to begin but then we had some fun with a mohawk and finally finished it all. We then walked the dog. Sue is not feeling well today and is sleeping now. I am making some cinamon rolls using honey as part of the sugar. dough tastes good! Come over and have one.
I will try and post the pictures that we took while cutting hair.

So I’m not a Hermann as you all might already know, but Sarah showed me this blog and I had to tell you how awesome you looked with the mohawk. I also wanted to tell you that I really admire your family and especially you Susan. You’re the bravest person I’ve ever met and I wish there was more I could do to help. (I’d cook for you but all I know how to make is chicken enchiladas and a million other people alrady have that covered) (actually I dont cook anything well at all).
Also Amber I was fortunate enough to consume one of those cinnamon rolls. Ha! And a peach! double ha!

Susan, you look great. I think of you and Darryl a lot these days. I finally finished my sixth and final treatment for this round, and am sleeping a lot from the fatigue. But I’m also improving each day. All the best to you! Dan

Dear Susan and Darryl,
Thank you so much for sharing your family blog with us. It was wonderful to see the pictures of all of your family together. Susan, you are beautiful even with the haircut because you radiate not only beautiful from the outside with your amazing smile but you radiate a beauty within. We continue to pray often for you. We think so much of the Hermanns and cherish our friendship and association while we lived in Park Meadows Ward. May God continue to give you his enabling grace & strength as you endure these very difficult cancer treatments and may and Darryl feel God’s love & peace during the great joys and great challenges this year 2009 has brought. 3 of your children were married for time and all eternity to their best friend this year in the temple and then you and Darryl are so courageously facing this canceer Abrahamic Trial. Our love, joy, gratitude & prayers,
Patsy and Philip Jenkins
